A fact is Orthodox Jewish women, Catholic Nun’s, Orthodox Christian Nuns and Muslima’s all wear hear scarves, and often dress with a 1 piece garment to the ankle level.

So why is it oppressing when Muslim women do it?

@asurah,why don't you make it this way,if there is a choice in hinduism then why people in rajasthan are being forced to cover from head to toe,they wear sari and they hide their faces,even if the guy wants to marry he can see the womens face after marriage ,what kind of law is this? dont think everybody are fool here,
@ others im a muslim and in my family no body forced me to wear a veil ,infact it was my personal choice,
islam doesn't opresses the women infact it uplifts the women . islamic law is exactly according to the life of people it just fits in perfectly.
in your hindu top scripture veda is it clearly commands people that the 8 parts of the body should touch the ground while praying,its just exactly in islam,it talks about hijab, also about prophet muhammad sus..
if mother theresa wears it then its modesty and choice,and nun dont even marry ,according to scientific research no women can be virgin through out its life,they need partners thats why marriage in islam completes half of the faith...
