So i've fallen for one of my best friends. She's about the same age as me (just a tad younger, and im almost 18). We've known each other for like 8-9 years. So i've been wondering lately if i might have a shot with her. When we were all chilling (me, her, a mutual friend, and my brother) our friend asked her about her "sex" life. She seemed rather reluctant to answer and as she said everything she glanced at me then back at her phone repeatedly. She only looked at me when she was saying this, and only looked at someone else when they directly spoke to her. Also when we were driving somewhere, we were sitting next to each other, and i playfully did the whole "yawn and stretch" thing and put my arm around her. Her brother was messing around and was like "i dare you to touch her again" and she immediately told him i can do that all i want. Then last night i was just messing around and asked if she wanted to sit on my lap. She said no, but also said no when i just offered her the chair. So i'm a bit confused. She has said before that she wouldn't date someone shorter then her. (i'm like 2 inches shorter). So she has officially confused me. I haven't just talked to her straight forward about it yet, but i think i might. She recently commented on how she likes my new shoes, and my new haircut. Although those last 2 things don't really mean anything. So what do you think? does she like me? should i go for it? What are some other ways i can tell she likes me? She's not a real girly girl. She also occasionally comments on how our friends can be such "douchebags" to me. As well as calling me "the biggest sweetheart" of them all.
