I have a blackberry now and its getting a bit boring but I want to be able to text and everything and not run out of battery half way through the day like it did on my desire:( I use Facebook and twitter a lot so turning of the internet is not that practical any ideas???

Well, if you can pretty much pay as much as you want for a phone. Then, consider the Samsung Galaxy S II which is known to have a pretty good battery life. It runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread so it gets most of the latest features of Android and it's currently considered as the fastest Android phone you can get on the market.
