ok i bought sims 2 and some expansion packs for my pc but now i got a mac osx so i cant play them on my laptop. i hate playing on the desktop cause the walls on my sims house are always flashing red, its soo slow and sometimes crashes. is sims 3 better than 2 and worth buying again but for macs or should i get sims 3. if sims 3 is better me and my sister want to buy one sims 3 disc and 2 expansion packs so we can both install the main disc then use our own expansion pack on our laptop. will this work?? thanxss

Sims 2 is somewhat of a power hog and some slower computers dont do well with it, which is why Life Stories was made, for slower computers and laptops. However it can be played on any computer. You need alot of memory and a good graphics card for Sims 2 and the more expansions/stuff packs you add the more you need. You are likely to have more problems with Sims 3 if you have older graphics cards and/or little memory.

You can install all sims games on as many computers as you like as long as you have the install key code. You will then use the expansion to play so yes as long as you each have an expansion pack that will work just fine.
