I live in an apartment in program housing. While it isn't drug/alcohol recovery housing, it does have a rule against drinking. And my neighbor is drunk . . . again . . . Being loud . . . again . . . Blasting the stereo . . . again . . . I already turned her in once for it. Staff gave her a warning and made her sign the rental agreement . . . again . . . Then she was gone from her apartment for about 2 months, but still showed up for the group meetings.

When she was at the group we both have to attend (with all the other people in the program) the other day she claimed not to have known about the alcohol-free rule, despite having lived in this program for almost ten years.

Would it be asking for trouble to turn her in again? Or is it the right thing to do?

its not fair that everyone is trying do to well living and here is little miss drunk doing what she wants and ruining it for those who are trying to live better lives. i'm sure there are some who are trying to be alcohol free and there she is being a reminder. i think you should turn her in. i think that you will be doing her a favor as well. maybe if she hits rock bottom then she will get clean. getting kicked out or at least in trouble for her drinking will may be, be a wake up call.
