I don't know what is happening to me

Me and this guy met on Facebook, we're the same age and go the schools near eachother. We've been talking for about 5 months and in the convos we also dirty talked.
I have a feeling I was a bit too clingy ( not annoying but just a bit clingy) and I told him I was ready to move things up between me and him. He said he doesn't want a relationship now (not with me but generally) but is fine talking to me. We met up once and it went well

We ended the last convo by saying we'll just be friends, without the "benefits" but it didn't seem like he was too happy with this..
We're both 15 and I know to not have serious relationships, that's why I just want to remain friends with him..
We didn't talk for 4 days so I started the inbox by saying "Hey :) " and he replied "hey". I asked if he'll be online tonight so I'm waiting for the reply

Im not unnattractive and I do get glances from guys in public etc . My personality is also good (as I've been told) so it can't be any of those factors.

His a really sweet guy and I still want to be friends with him but how should I do this.. What should I say to him when he goes online tonight?

i woudlnt get into the benefit part at our age (im 16 btw) BUT if u want to get into a relationship then u should , idk if its ur conscience thats making u talk to him again or mabye u like him but mabye u should ask him for the advice/ answer on ow thigs should move forward. mabye he wants a relationship and u just dont know it :) at anu ate just act natural and talk as a friend , if u both already decided not to get into the bf/gf thing then u can both just be bfs right? best friends :) haha soooo there lol
