I recently got Harvest Moon:Sunshine Islands, and have decided, i wanna marry vaughn! People say he is the hardest to get, and im a newcomer to this game! I still wanna marry vaughn though....I know all of the heart events, but what i wanna know is how many days does it take to reach the next heart with Vaughn. Right now, if you looked at assets you would see vaughn has 1 heart.(1 little heart out of like 12?) I know what to get Vaughn, like milk, and eggs ect. Please, i need to know how many days it will take for me to get to the first heart event. I also heard people say that he marries Sabrina? Im confused about that. So if you know? Also, it says like you have to have a blue heart or higher to go to Lending a Hand? How do you know if you have a different color heart with Vaughn?! Thank you. If you have any info besides the things you can give vaughn(gifts), and the heart events please answer! Thanxs!

Vaughn is harder then others because he is only around two days a week. But I personally think Mark is the hardest of all.

Well you need 10,000FP to change a marriage candidate's heart color. Talking to Vaughn will gain you 100 once per day. And if you give him Milk or another gift he really likes you'll gain another 500 FP. So that's 600 per day. So it'll take around 17 days of you always speaking with him and giving him a really good gift. But since he is only around twice a week it'll take much longer than just that. It'll be 17 days of him being there plus all the days he's not around.

After you earn enough FP the little Black Heart in the corner of the dialog box will turn Purple and become slightly larger. That is how you tell what their Heart Color is. The colors go in this order: Black, Purple, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, and Red. When you see a Purple Heart when you talk with Vaughn you'll know you can get the Heart Event.

During the Heart Events you will be given a choice. If you pick the choice that makes Vaughn happy you will gain 2500 FP. That will really decrease the time it takes to get to the next Heart Color. But if you pick the choice that makes him unhappy he will lose FP.

Besdies The Witch Princess and Shea all of the marriage candidates have rivals for their affection. The rival couples will get married if you see all the rival Heart Events. The rival couples are:
Elliot and Julia
Natalie and Pierre
Vaughn and Sabrina
Will and Lilly
Denny and Lanna

You don't really have to worry because the rival heart events only happen once per year. The final Rival Heart Event can't happen until year four. And if you raise the marriage candidates Heart Color the Rival Heart Events won't even happen because they like you too much to like the other person.
