From the get go, I am a very extroverted and sociable individual. The majority of my friends state that I am easy to talk to and that they are very comfortable with me. However, they do not call me to ever hang out. It's always me commencing a meeting or outgoing event. Most of you might reply with "they have their own lives and their busy." But, I always see them calling somebody else to socialize with. Yet, they do not ever call/text me. We don't hang out everyday, so it's as if I'm a desperate guy seeking socialization. They always tell me to hit them up. Why is that? I don't think there is anything wrong with my personality nor am I irritating them in anyway. Does anyone have any suggestions?

My mentor have stated that this world is cruel and my so called friends don't want to get out of the way to hit me up. Any honest opinions are more than welcome. I'd rather hear something truthful than some over exaggerated claim.
