I have a friend that i been crushing on since like 6th grade. We have became like best friends over the years. She knows I have feelings for her but im still not to sure if she has them for me. I have had different girlfriends over the years and i usually hear a negative about them from her but she has never met them. This same girl(best friend) and I went to prom together my senior year. We went to the movies together right before prom we held hands for a few minutes but that was it. we both recently finished our freshman year of college we stayed in contact alot of this past year and we went to college on different sides of the country. As soon as we got back I was joking and placed something on a social network about who wants to be my date to go see a movie? Just being funny! She replied by saying I want to go but ill wait. So i asked if she wanted to go and she said yes but she didn't want me to spend money to come get her and take her. I replied back by saying do you want to be my date for the movie? She said yes I will go, is it a date,date? I replied take it as you want too. She asked what did i mean and i never replied. We went to watch the movie had a great time, only this time around i didn't reach to grab her hand because i didn't know what line to cross at that time. we talk and text but she is so hard to read because ill flirt an stop and im not sure when she is flirting.. Her play brother wrote me and said can you keep her happy? I was like i will for sure.He wrote back and said wait it out everything is going to workout and im the type of guy she wants.. I found that hard because she is so hard to understand sometimes. She got us tickets for a game this upcoming weekend for a baseball game and im really confused because i dint know how to take it.. The game was already planned for us, but the movie thing was not planned it just happened. Im just so confused about it all any help on this situation will be greatly appreciated..Thanks!!!

She likes you and she is waiting for you to make it clear that you like her too. That's why she asked "is it a date date?". She was giving you a chance to say "yes". It's what she needs to know. If you dont start to communicate with each other soon you could waste so much time she could give up and start to look elsewhere. You have nothing to lose by asking her out on a date, and telling her it is a "date, date".
