ALAMEDA, Calif. - California preacher Harold Camping says his prophecy that the world would end was ill for five months, because in reality the Day of Judgement will come on October 21.
Christian radio host, said Monday that the apocalypse will come five months after the May 21, the date originally predicted.
Camping says he felt so terrible when doomsday predictions did not come true on Saturday that left home and took refuge in a motel with his wife.
Camping, 89-year-old retired civil engineer, appeared publicly for the first time Monday night.
Instead of giving their normal daily broadcast, Camping made a special statement to the press at the headquarters of the media empire that has sent the message in Oakland.
