Its a habit...
Since we all are usually in the habit of thinking negative and wrong....it is difficult to stay positive...but once you start doing that...the negativity simply vanishes and it knows that it has no business here....so its very easy then to just be positive.....
When you are positivity personified then staying positive is like being yourself... and its not tough, is it! :)

Our natural tendency (I don't know why) is to dwell on negative. On top of that, the news (and many TV shows) dump a lot of negative on you every day.
It's fairly easy to stay positive, but it takes a small amount of effort daily. First, you have to avoid some of the negative - do you really need to know about all of the murders and robberies in the US, or even in your state? Turn off the news. If you need to hear some of it, just catch the headlines. Scan the newspaper, and only read those stories that are actually useful (again, skipping the details on crimes). Read something (even something short) every day that is uplifting. This can be a chapter from a Chicken Soup for the Soul book, some scripture (of whatever your religion may be), or anything similar. Doing this first thing in the morning will get your head set right for the day. Doing it last thing before bed will clear out the day's negatives. Make it 15 minutes at each end of the day, and you'll find it's pretty easy to keep positive.
