I have every Sims 3 game installed on my desktop PC and was using the Outdoor Living Stuff disc to play it until today and it worked fine.

After installing it, I followed the usual procedure and all seemed normal.

When The Sims 3 Game Launcher popped up and I clicked the play button, it didn't do anything. I even left it for a little while to see if it just to see if it needed longer to load but when I click it, it just greys out and asks whether to close the program or wait for it to respond. I've even restarted and shut down the PC and nothing's changed.

I am not connected to the internet, but I do not believe that's a factor as I've had no problem before.

What's wrong with it?

Any ideas? Would really appreciate it, even if this site is dead nowadays.

You really need to be on the Internet to update this expansion. The problem that I have experienced is that the launcher will appear then when play is clicked nothing happens. It seems to be a problem with the download manager. You should have an icon for the EA Download Manager on your desktop. Double click it. This will update EADM to Origin. At this point your game should run. I hope this helps, it worked for me on two different installs.
