My laptop screen started to malfunciton, i couldnt see anything except black and gray lines all over and that was it. So I took the harddrive out and put it in another laptop that i had. When I turned it on it works just fine. I thought that this would technically be me using the "same" computer since its the same harddrive, but when I use my Adobe CS5 products (photoshop, indesign, illustrator) a message comes that says the product has been activated on 2 computers already. what should I do? Thanks for your help in advance! =)


I cannot deactivate it on my other pc where the drive is originally from b/c the screen doesnt work so nothing is visible.

Also, I've heard of putting hardrives in computes as "slaves" what does that mean? how do I do it? and would that work? THANK YOU!!

Think that you are going to have to talk to Adobe about deactivation and/or getting around the "installed on 2 computers" .

No, you cannot run the program from a slave drive. During installation, the registry is modified so your computer knows that the program exists. It will pick up that you have a slave drive but it will not permit programs to be run that it doesn't know about.
