Step 1. How many times does 3 go into 19? 6 times, because 3 times 6 is 18. So you subtract 18 from the 19, and you get, 1

Step 2: Bring the 3 down. Basically means, put the 3 next to the 1.

3. Repeat step 1. How many times does 3 go into 13? 4 times, bc 3 times 4 is 12. 3 times 5 is 15, but that is bigger than 13. You want the number that is equal to, or less than 13.

If you repeat the same step above, and subtract 12 from 13, you get 1!

4. Bring down the 5 like above. so you would have 15.

5. How many times does 3 go into 15? 5, because 3 times 5 is 15!

6. Repeat step 1. 15-15 is? 0!

7. Remember how I put the 6 on top in step 1? You need to do that for each time. We found that 3 went into those numbers above 6, 4 and 5 times.

Just right them from left to right, and we get 645, which is how many times 3 goes into 1935(or 1935 divided by 3). If you don't trust me, multiply 645 by 3. You will get 1935.

Multiplication is the opposite of division
