My friends are all pretty different to me (maybe you've seen in previous questions) but I feel reassured about that now. The one thing that I don't know about is how to stop them getting at me. I buy Kerrang! every week and read it in form and all my friends call it my 'freak magazine'. Every time they start talking about their favourite singers and I try to join in I get shot down and told to shut up about my 'emo crap'. I love them loads but they're always getting at me and I don't know how to tell them because I get worked up really easily and just thinking about it makes me get all teary-eyed (pathetic, right?) but I've always been really emotional. I find it hard to say anything, even to people I really know. Plus it's about seven on one. Please help me?

I guess I'm a little like this. All my old friends that liked the stuff I like, hate me now... because I like the same thing (THAT'S pathetic :/)
These people you call your friends, they sound like CRAP friends to me!- My friends accept me for who I am, and go along with me when I say what I like. I know this sounds some what harsh, but you need new friends. You don't deserve to be treated like that.. you really don't. You could tell them that you f***ing HATE how they treat you,, and how even though you don't like what they read/ listen to, you don't pick on them about it. Everyones different, they should be thankful you're not like everyone else.

Kerrang! isn't 'emo crap'. The music in there is fricken epic, much better than all this auto tuned crap they have today. Like, they probably say they hate rebecca black, right? but basically all they're doing it taking the eyes out of their own music.

Personally, your friends sound rather pathetic. You need to tell them how you feel- they need to learn not to treat you like a piece of sh*t.

Sorry for sounding harsh, but I've had friends like yours, and I'm so glad I'm not friends with them anymore.
