I've been in long term relationships all my live and am newly single at age 30. I'm a pretty sociable guy, but have no idea what the dating etiquette is. Is texting the new phone call method? What's a good route to go, grab early drinks, dinner, coffee, etc? What are the guidelines these days?

Dating is pretty much the same. The guidelines are largely the same. Yeah texting is much more common, especially if it is meeting on a blind date the first time. Catching up for a coffee initially is a good way to go, although doing more things that demonstrate what your interests are is even better so for example if you like art , go to a museum, if you like bike riding then go for a ride.
