So I have been hanging out on and off for the past month with this girl that I work with. She has worked at the same place as me for 6 months now. I wasn't looking for a gf at the time that we went to the movies for the first time. But when we went out I instantly felt a connection. Since then I have met her family and done several other various activities together. Every time that we are together we have a blast and it seems like we connect. She has voiced concerns that if we dated she doesn't want people at work to think shes just sleeping around to work her way to the top. This is due to the fact that I am a low level supervisor. I don't directly supervise her though. So things were really looking up for us. Well last night on the way to a baseball game none the less she tells me that she "thinks" she just wants to stay friends for now. I asked her if there was room for me to try and make her change her mind. She said that I could try if I wanted. So we talked some more about it and I asked her if she still wanted to do all the things that we had planned on doing over the summer and she said yes. I also asked her if she still wanted me to do all the little things that I do now, bring her food to work, take her out, etc and she said yes that was fine. I asked her what made her decide to just be friends for now and she said there was no particular reason. I honestly think she wants to date but she is afraid to take that step. What can I do if anything? I really care for this girl.

Never get your honey where you make your money. That's a darn good rule to live by. There can be many problems with dating a co-worker, so I'd recommend against it.
