Ok so i have a JVC digital camera with 700x digital zoom and 16x optical zoom.. We bought this around 4/5 years ago and i broke it, i didnt mean to but... it doesn't work COMPLETELY ! It records on mini tapes and we have like a stack of mini tapes .. and the only way that I could of played the tapes was through the actually recorder (putting the tape in the recorder and connecting it to my TV and pressing play) so now that my recorder does not work at all... I have no other way of playing these tapes, where can i get these converted into DVD ? Please...Obviously i will tell my mum that i broke it... but i need some kind of solution to ease her mind so i just need names of companies that convert these mini tape things to CD's so i can play it on my DVD player.

You'd probably be cheapest looking at ebay for an identical model of camcorder and buying that. If it's mini-DV tapes then any mini-DV camcorder will be fine - here's a broken one that'll do what you want and will probably end at about £20 or so.

When you get it then you can use a piece of Camera-to-DVD hardware/software on your own computer to turn the tapes into DVDs. Something like http://www.roxio.com/enu/products/creato… costs about £30 from Amazon and works great.
