We are not our own...keep reading..."for you have been bought with a price"! God made us, then He saved us...whether we agree with it or not, we're His to do with as He wills in the end. He's given us the freedom to make our choices and live our lives in the time He allots us, so it's not accurate to state we are all "controlled by God at an emotional level", this is simply supporting the notion of what happens in the end.
