My boyfriend recently started doing online gaming. I only see him every other weekend, since we live an hour apart. But when I go to stay with him, he will spend about 3-4 hours playing these games, while I sit there and watch TV. For me, online gaming is a whole different world that I know nothing about. I am leery of it, because he is interacting with strangers, and also I feel neglected when he plays these games while I am there visiting. It also bothers me that he plays after I go to sleep...he will stay up until 4 or 5 in the morning playing these games, and then he'll sleep until like 2 or 3 the next day. Would you feel the same way I do? Would you date someone who did online gaming? Does it sound like he is somewhat addicted? Am I just being paranoid because I know nothing about it?? I'm concerned that this will become a bigger issue in the future.

so to start out im an ex world of warcraft player, if u dont know what that is it is the largest online game in the world. Im not sure if thats what your boyfriend is doing but if it is interfering with your relationship you might have a problem. i recently stopped playing because to be quite honest it was ruining my social life and making me kind of nerdy, not to say that your boyfriend is a nerd but you should seriously talk to him about it and tell him what you think of it. I for one hate those games now because for 3 years in highschool i spent every friday night at home playing these games for hours and hours. i think it could cause problems in the future because people can get seriously addicted to online games, particularily world of warcraft and often blow off more important things like school and family to play it. if i were you i would strongly encourage him to stop, especially if he cant find time to spend with his girlfriend because of these game.
