Hey man, anything that tells you it boosts your speed is fake. You can do a little bit with the settings but it only lasts for a short amount of time and it's normally slower after it wears off. I've tried everything (including cheat engine) and I got the best speeds with the default settings (which is why they are default, bittorrent wants you to be done downloading as soon as possible). The best thing you can do is right-click your current download(s) and go down to "Bandwidth Allocation" check "High". This will basically make them a higher priority on your internet connection, which, in turn will make anything else you do on the internet a little slower. This shouldn't cause any problems though. The reason bittorrent has it set to normal is so it can run in the background and take its time while you browse the internet and forget that it's there.
The seeders (which is often out of your control anyways) also determine speed, as you will be downloading from more sources simultaneously. Look up how torrents work, the more you know the more you can apply to your downloads.
